CALL FOR ARTISTS: RISO INK AS ART OBJECT

RISO ink, as seen through the eyes of the people who actually create with it.

We’re looking for RISO users (presumably you if you are reading this post) to photograph RISO ink in your own space, in your own way.

We want to see the ink outside of a traditional product-photo setting. Put it in your studio. Pair it with flowers, paper, prints, tools, objects, textures, or colors that inspire you. Think about the ink as a material and part of your creative practice.

Bold color. Strong composition. Beautiful light. Your point of view.

These photographs will primarily be used as product photography in our online shop. Rather than traditional catalog images, we want the ink to be photographed by the people who actually use it — in the spaces where you create, surrounded by the work and materials that inspire you. Creating a RISO ink shopping experience that reflects the risograph community.

Think vibrant color, composition, light, texture, and your own point of view. Here is some vibe inspo:

If your photograph is selected, you’ll receive:

$40 credit to our online store
Your name + studio credited in the product description
A link to your website or studio/social account

The prompt:
RISO Ink as Art Object

Photograph it in your studio. On your work table. Alongside your prints. As part of a color study. However you naturally see it.
